Crooked Vodka
Inspired by the infamous NYC lawyers Howe and Hummel. They were lawyers who defended criminals and they were criminals who practiced law. They happily fought the lost causes of the day while blackmailing the city’s wealthy Robber Barons to pay the bills. Howe and Hummel can best be summed up as a misguided version of Robin Hood.
Our crystal-clear vodka is 6x distilled, smooth to the tongue with a slight sweetness and a hint of cracked pepper accompanied by a light and clean finish that will compliment any cocktail.
Hinky Dink’s
Workingman’s Whiskey
Inspired by the infamous Chicago Alderman, Hinky Dink Michael Kenna and his Workingman’s Saloon. Besides serving inexpensive drinks and free lunch, he also provided cheap lodging for down-and-outers. In return these patrons could be counted on to vote as Hinky Dink directed, starting the vote early, vote often reputations of Chicago elections.
Hinky Dink’s Workingman’s Whiskey blends five unique whiskeys to create an unmatched balance and depth of flavor. Inspired by John “Bathhouse” Coughlin, best known for his Mens ‘Style Revolution’ that failed to catch on, who worked his way up from bathhouse Massuer to become one of the most notorious Alderman in Chicago’s history to rule the South Side with his partner Hinky Dink.
Bathhouse John’s Well Dressed American Dry Gin boasts hints of Juniper, Lavender, and a touch of citrus giving it a light crispness that softens as the botanicals open up to recreate an early spring morning with every sip.
CARIBBEAN QUEEN'S RED SKY
RUM Aged and Silver
Inspired by Gertrude “Cleo” Lythgoe, a headstrong woman from NYC who set up shop in the Bahamas during prohibition. Known for selling the best liquor available she used a pistol and a straight blade to maintain her reputation. Wanting to beat the smugglers jinx, she left her one true Love, the “Real” Bill McCoy and smuggling partner, at sea to sail off into the sunset to live life on her own Misguided terms.
Red Sky Rum is blended using the finest Rums in Venezuela, from the Tiuna, Yaracuy, and CIFE distilleries. Our Silver Rum is this blend in its purest form. Our aged rum boasts flavors of vanilla, warm caramel, with hints of cinnamon and orange developed during the 4 years it is aged in bourbon barrels. We bring both rums to proof with soft water and Caribbean Sea Salt to enhance their rich and bold flavors.
BLACK DOVE'S SACRED HEART
TEQUILA Blanco and Reposado
Inspired by Chavela Vargas, the street singer who took over Mexico City’s bohemian club scene in the 1940’s. She challenged mainstream morals by dressing in men’s clothing and sang ranchero songs intended for men to woo women with incredible passion. The Black Dove (Paloma Negra), became one of Chavela’s most famous songs. It is the dramatized telling of a young woman who goes out partying all night and breaks the heart of the lovesick singer.
Sacred Heart Tequila is distilled from 100% blue agave in Jalisco, Mexico. Slow roasted and double distilled, then brought to proof with volcanic mineral rich water giving it a balance of simple complexity that makes Sacred Heart Blanco Tequila the perfect Tequila to drink straight, or in cocktails. Our Tequila Reposado gets its wonderful color, aroma, and deeper flavors from aging in American oak barrels for at least 3 months.
Victor Noir’s
Everlasting Triple SeC
Inspired by the liberal journalist shot and killed by Prince Pierre Bonaparte for criticizing the government of the Prince’s cousin, Emperor Napoleon III. Victor Noir became an everlasting symbol of fertility thanks to the generous proportions bestowed on his bronze statue marking his grave where visitors leave flowers in his hat, kiss his bronze lips, and rub his generous endowment.
Our hand-crafted triple sec is made with sweet Valencia orange peel, bitter Curaçao orange peel, floral orange blossoms, Valencia orange juice and just a touch of tart cherry juice, Victor Noir’s Everlasting Triple Sec delivers a refreshing balance of bitter citrus without being too sweet.
